BrickMap is a result of my collaboration with three students (Christina Polyhronopoulou, Alice Bosi and Wei Uzen Zhang) at AHO, the Oslo’s school of Architecture and design. As a visitor student, I had the opportunity to participate in the final week of the Interactive Design course.

The brick wall of the faculty’s cafe was turned for a day into an interactive surface, where mapped informational
videos (dedicated to Samuel Morse) and interactive, sound responsive environments were installed. It was my
first experience with the open source program VVVV. The presented patch uses the sound as the primary input of the installation. A mapped animation of the bricks moving, showing the intentions of the project, was also presented. The video is currently being edited and will be uploaded in due course.
