Zbigniew Rybczynski is a Polish filmmaker, director, cinematographer, screenwriter, creator of experimental animated films and multimedia artist. I first saw his work during a course at the School of Acrhitecture back in Athens and was impressed. His name and the names of his works were the main reasons I couldn’t find him again online!
Today morning, after 3 or 4 years, I ran into his name again. This time there is a screening of a collection of his work at Barbican, within the framework of the Architecture on Film series. “The screening will survey Rybczyński’s explorations of virtual space where animation is used to transgress the logical boundaries of physical space.”
